While “I am a writer,” impulsively makes me cringe, it’s the only thing I know for sure. Not because of some romantic imperative, but because I simply cannot stop doing it. More than I am fascinated by the things I write, I am fascinated by the feeling in my chest when I think about this compulsion. Why have I kept a journal since I was five? Why was I pitching stories to the New York Times at 16?
From high school at Duke Ellington School of The Arts, to a BA in creative writing from The New School, I’ve spent the better part of my life dedicated to learning about the craft from incredible writers in the classroom, at readings, and across time and space, on paper.
Through screenwriting, poetry, essays, articles, fiction, and narrative direction, I’m so blessed to be able to translate this vision across mediums. This website represents what’s out in the world already. To chat about unreleased fiction, poetry and screenplays, as well as project decks, pitches and book proposals I’ve got brewing, shoot me an email :)
